In December 2025, I kicked off my "Books For Kids" initiative by donating 108 books to Kindergarteners, 1st graders, and 2nd graders at Moncure School in NC. The kids and teachers loved the books!

When customers buy my merchandise, I donate books. I also set up a PHILANTHROPIST PACKAGE, offering discounted books for businesses and individuals who want to donate more books!

I also gave a presentation on the biology and behavior of African Animals. The kids had great questions about the animals, travel to Africa, and details on an African Safari.

I brought enough books that every child was given Books 1 and 2 to keep, and there were leftovers for the teachers. It was a delightful and rewarding experience.

I teamed up with the Chatham Education Foundation to make this happen. I will donate more books in the spring for their "Books On Break", and visit a variety of schools. Please join me in supporting children's literacy. We can make a difference. Let's do this!

"Vickie Sees Safari Animals! includes fun tongue twisters, animal facts, and informative details about African wildlife. Although the target audience are kids 2–10 years old, the interactive experience of this 34-page adventure can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. I certainly enjoyed it!

Perhaps the most amusing part are the endearing photos of baby animals including a cheetah cub hugging her mom with the caption “I love you, Mom,” which promotes the importance of family. Other deeper themes nestled in the book are that of friendship, self-confidence, and perseverance.

The book ends with a pat on the back to the reader and a personal message from the author. It also includes a discussion question to keep the adventure going (also perfect for classrooms and reading groups).

In the digital age where children face a multitude of unproductive distractions, such as the internet, social media, and video games, Vickie Sees Safari Animals! provides a refreshing, healthy, and educational outlet to entertain and inform."
